James joined Evans and Partners in 2019 as an investment adviser and uses his industry expertise to offer clients solutions which focus on being tax effective with an appropriate mix of assets.

Prior to his current role, James spent five years as an investment adviser with Baillieu Holst, after studying history full-time for several years as a post-graduate mature-aged student. His earlier professional career also included nine years trading pan-Asian equities in Tokyo for several large multinational banks.

James has a Bachelor of Commerce, with a double major in Accounting and Finance from Monash University, along with a Diploma in Arts in History from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

James completed the FASEA Financial Adviser Exam in November 2020.
